my Centaurea Dealbata has sprouted well for the last four years. It begins to flower, but then it collapses in the centre, creating an uglymess. What causes this? I have observed it in a few other local gardens.

I've got a lot of these here and mine do that when they're too dry.
Also, because they get heavy - i've just bought a few plant supports to keep then upright and together and this stops the flop !!!
