Virginia creeper losing leaves
By Edwardm

I have a well established virginia creeper covering a west facing garage wall. This creeper has always put out steady growth during the growing period. However, during the past two weeks it suddenly stopped growing, the leaves turned red and are now dropping off as if it had gone into autumn mode early.
Do you think this plant has died and I should dig it out and start again. Or should I just leave it in the hope that it will reprieve itself next spring?
Thanks

Very unlikely to have died completely - if you live in the south, drought could have caused this, despite the rain we've had recently, although, because its rained, it may well produce more leaves.
