We've brought a Victoria plum tree and it's been planted in the soil 4 weeks ago. Within a few days the leaves turned yellow and started dropping off. We've given it some fish bone at the time of planting. What shall we do?

Needs 2 gallons minimum a week right up till autumn/winter, and same again during dry spells from April onwards for its first 2 years. If you didn't give it enough when you first planted, and haven't watered sufficiently since, leave the hose running on a trickle at the base for a couple of hours - even if its raining.

Next question
Has it been watered enough? It might be that, or just the shock of being planted.
