Is it possible to purchase a half standard Jacaranda Tree? When we visited Seville a few years ago the middle of the road was planted with an avenue of these beautiful trees. Our soil is a clay type and would this be suitable? Thank you

Sadly, just a greenhouse plant there, and not likely to get big enough to bloom--unless you are Kew! Persian Silk Tree (Albizzia julibrissin) will imitate the foliage, while Sapphire Dragon Tree (Paulownia hybrid) would imitate the flowers.

These trees are not hardy in Britain - whether they're half standard or not.
