It looks quite a bit like the native Arizonan, Mimulus guttatus. Probably not actually that, but there are very similar species around the world.

Thank you. I grow mimulus as well, should have got that. It's huge, must like that spot beside the river.

It's Mimulus. You're lucky - it's lovely! There are lots of varieties and hybrids. Often grown as a garden flower in damp spots. This one looks taller than the average I've seen.
