my freesias have flowered,but have no scent.can you tell me why ?

Some of the older blue, pink, or red varieties are short of scent, though that problem has been mostly corrected in the newer kinds.

kildermorie,thanks for ur reply.the freesias in question r yellow +white ones,and they r on a south facing wall in the back-garden??

That's odd! The yellow and white ones have always had the most scent. Any chance of pictures? There are a few other genera which can look vaguely like them, but are scentless. And, as Kildermorie says, the weather can affect how they smell.

Out of interest, what colour are your Fressias?
I smell my Freesias at the moment best from my front door, rather than round the back garden where they are. Also mainly on a dry sunny day.
