K, not exactly a 'garden' question but it is plant orientated! I was given a single Aloe Vera plant about two years ago, I now have about 40 even after giving what feels like thousands away! However some of them appear to be getting a rusty look to some of their tips, does anyone know what this is? I also have a few kitchen herbs in the same area and have always had a small black fly colony living around them, could this be the cause?

« how can I tell a rose from a runner ? Without flowers of course!
This could be from dry atmosphere around them. The tips of the leaves can go brown. Try spraying with water occasionally. Or, as you have lots, just keep the good ones!
