I have recently planted Hebe Purple Pixie and leaves at top seem to be turning brown and dropping off There seems to be young healthy new growth at bottom Will they do same? Would like advice how to keep it healthy

It would actually be better to leave the hose or trickle at the base of the shrub for several hours, this will give the water a chance to soak into the ground all around the hebe.

Sounds like it needs more water to me. I think you need to water it regularly and thoroughly (PLENTY of water!) until it is established.
