Starting Bellis Perennis Seeds

I have bought some Bellis Perennis,Tasso Mixed seeds because the information said 'first year flowering' which I took to mean I could sow in Jan/Feb and they would flower the same year. But looking at various websites they all say the seeds should be sown between June and Sep. Do I stand any chance of flowers this year if I plant now?

Right, thank you, does this mean they will flower in the first year - ie this summer?

I would have said it's unlikely, but I suppose they might. They are normally in flower from now until summer, aren't they?

My book says to plant the seeds either in early spring at 10 - 13 degrees, or else outdoors in the soil in early summer.
Sorry you didn't get an answer before - blame my flu!
