my raspberries have developed a tendancy to shoot out suckers without thorns and which do not bear fruit the next year, after which the plant dies. I am not sure why they started doing this.
thanks

So, if I'm parsing this rightly, the raspberries shoot out thornless canes, those canes do not fruit the following year, and then the whole plant dies that fall? I'll admit that I have never heard of such a thing, before. Are pictures of the mutant canes possible? Are they showing any other symptoms, such as yellowing leaves, or twisted growth?
