I got given a "Lovely Bride" patio rose on my wedding day 3 weeks ago. I transferred it into a new pot with drainage. Unfortunately it did not get watered while we were on honeymoon as in-laws assumed the rain would be enough (seems our balcony is quite sheltered). We have been home a week & i have been trying to make sure it doesn't go dry but some of the leaves are still yellow & the new buds keep turning yellow & falling off. How can I save this rose? What am I doing wrong? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

If you could provide a photo of the plant, that would be very helpful. Are you saying it was bone dry and wilted when you returned home? If it was, what did you do to get it good and wet again? And since then, have you been keeping it very wet all the time? Is the pot standing in an outer tray which keeps the water instead of it draining away properly?
