Just noticed my Kilmarnock willow is suffering from rust! It appears to be mainly the lower branches, so i could give it a bit of a trim to remove the worst of it and burn the cuttings. But should I spray it with something (and with what??)- or is it to late - reading some Q&As it seems to be spraying should be done as a prevention better than cure, so any suggestions would be grateful.
It will survive though, rust won't kill it???

Well I've nipped off the bottom of the branches where most of the rust is present and given it a good dousing of RoseClear. So I'll keep an eye on it.
Thanks Bamboo.

I'm hoping the Roseclear you have does actually contain a fungicide which treats for rust - not all of their range does.

Yep, it does :)

Spray it with an appropriate fungicide - it will help to control it, even if it doesn't clear it completely. Next year, spray at the very first hint of rust - this means inspecting the plant regularly.
