Can I grow from a plum stone? Out old plum tree had to be chopped down so Dave carved a Mohican out of it (I may have put this photo on before. If I have, sorry for the duplication).

You can grow a plum tree from the stone. It will be a slow process and you may well not end up with the same plum as the original tree. Easier, and quicker, to by a young tree.

Thank you Moon grower. I wasn't thinking of growing another plum treet but just to see if I could grow something from the stone.

Well what you will grow from the stone is a plum tree.

I plan for it to be an indoor plant Moon grower and if it gets too big I'll plant it out.

You wont be able to keep a plum tree as an indoor plant. From the very start you will need to grow the plum pit in a pot outside. It would be far too warm for it indoors.

How do I say thanks?
