i have 3 hosters and they are getting eaten bye something ive done the normal things slug pellits and sprays but they are still getting eaten . please HELP x

Answers
Another solution is to put coffee grounds round the hostas as slugs don't like crossing them. You can also buy copper rings (which is what I use) from www.greengardener.co.uk - not cheap but they do work

My wife keeps all our egg shells ,which I wash ,dry off, then break into small pieces and spread all round my Hostas.I have had 8 large Hostas for years and they never get eaten

It will be slugs they 'love' hostas! try putting grit around the plants the slugs do not like to crawl over that. Or grow some salad leaves near the hostas to distract the slugs.
