I have a problem with moss growing on the soil of my borders and containers. What can i do to stop this?

Its all to do with damp Reesie, and its been pretty wet for the last 2 years, Scr*pe it off your containers and add new compost to the top, sal's right about the shade, lets hope we get plenty sun this year :)

Hoeing or lightly cultivating the top of the soil regularly will help keep it under control.

Clean this off and put pebbles round your pots and troughs. Forest bark your beds.

Don't compost the scraped off moss or you'll spread it around. Mulch containers with grit to discourage moss. A rolling stone gathers no moss, so cultivate the soil a little.

I have this too, mostly in the shady bits. I have just taken to pulling it up where I can and enjoying it where I can't.
