By Ukbonsai

Hey guys. My chinese elm seems to be growing steadily. I have suddenly found that the soil is drying out extremely fast now and seems to be full of little roots like very thin ones. The soil around the edge of the pot it not touching the sides also now so is becoming loose. I know it isnt the best time to repot atm but what do you think I should do? Please Help thanks Harry

It looks as if it's far too dry. Give it a good soak in tepid water and spray the soil every day to keep it moist. The soil is shrinking from the side of the pot because it's dry.
