If you get Bayer, sprayday greenfly killer, you can use on a wide range of edibles, as well as ornamentals, it treats = greenfly, blackfly, caterpillars { including codling &tortrix moths}&beetles {raspberry, pollen and flea beetles. it also controls weevils, sawfly, scale insects, and mealy bugs.
Just follow the instructions on the container, for whitefly, mealy bug, and thrips, repeat applications may be required. derekm

I'll admit that I'm a little paranoid about using Bayer's imidacloprid products on edibles, but they are the most effective things for whitefly that I have found.
