i have small magots in the roots of my cabbage and caulflowers what are they and whats the cure please

If you grow brassicas next year you can fit little collars round the young plants at soil level, which makes it difficult for the fly to get to the roots. You can buy purpose made ones or make your own.

I would think cabbage fly and the deterent is the water from boiled rhubarb leaves sprayed(cold) onto the plants
