green caterpillars are stripping the leaves of my magnolia tree, what can I do?
It's something of a last resort, but you could spray them with synthetic pyrethroid, such as permethrin, or carbaryl. Next year, ecourage more insect predators by using only organic remedies for aphids or the like, spraying with diluted baker's yeast, and planting annual flowers to attract hoverflies and hornets.
