i have a Eucalyptus Nikholi at bottom of my patio about 5 feet from my back door, is it safe to leave it there, i am worried about the roots lifting the patio, its about 6 feet tall and has been there for 4 years, and if i keep cutting it down will that s

I can only find Eucalyptus nicholii - is that it, do you think? When mature, this tree reaches up to 50 feet by up to 40 feet spread. Even if you do keep cutting it back, its roots will still spread. I think it is probably too close not only to your patio, but to your house if it's as near the back door as you say! That means that your foundations could be damaged.

I would get rid of it, if it were mine. Sorry if you love it.

Could you move it further away - or is it too big for that?
