What kind of veggies, Planting? Some of the shrubby or vining vegetables, such as tomatoes or peppers, will respond to a light pruning and a feeding, producing again several weeks from now. Members of the squash family--including melons and cucumbers--may respond to the same treatment, but are less reliable in that. A few of the leafy veggies, such as New Zealand spinach or amaranth will put on new leaves also, but most leaf crops will only work until they go to seed. Ditto all the Brassicas. Moon_grower probably has some ideas of what to plant for a fall harvest. I would go to her blogs about "Planting by the Moon".
