Is it too early to cut my raspberry canes down. I have picked all fruit available.
It is my first year for gooseberries and they are growing along the ground instead of up - is this normal. I presume I will get no fruit until next year. Do I need to prune. Many thanks

Can't comment on gooseberry growth until you post a pic, but a hint for good fruit is to give them sulphate of potash in February. I cut my raspberry canes down last week.

Cut down the raspberry canes that have fruited and tie in the new canes which will fruit next year. Could you put up a photo of your gooseberry please.
