Pleaseeeeeee Can anyone identify this tree for me? I can't for the life of remember what it is, I know as soon as someone says it the penny will drop lol.. Its evergreen is over 9ft tall now, no flowers - as yet anyway. Had this about 18 months I think. Thanks. :)

It doesn't ring a bell, could be I guess but just looked on google and think maybe not. I always check labels and I think this one had a max height of about 15 ft. I bought it to use as a privacy screen so am certain it's not a big tree. Thanks for the suggestion, will keep it in mind. :)

It does look like one of the Eucalyptus trees but they grow at least 15 meters not feet. This site might help as there are so may different kinds of Eucalyptus. http://www.jungleseeds.com/SeedShop/Eucalyptus.htm

I too would say Eucalyptus looking at the leaves.

Me too - does the name gum tree or blue gum ring any bells, Sharni?
You do know that they grow to enormous heights, very quickly? I don't think you'll be able to leave it where it is for long without pruning it.

Breaking and crunching and leaf, finding what it smells like should tell you if it is eucalyptus.

I think the label might have read 15 metres which is more like 50 foot.

Its most definitely Eucalyptus, probably E. gunnii, and Sharni, you must keep it small, or it'll reach over 55 feet rather quickly - it grows between 2 and 6 feet a year.

Just tip it out at the height you want a couple of times a year and it will be fine.
