I have just received some Crocosmia bulbs through the post from ebay.
They came with the excess soil shaken off and the bulbs have been dried out.
They have some dead foliage still on them.
Should I plant them now or store cool and dry untill the spring ?
I also got some Crocosmia Lucifer bulbs dry but with no foliage, the same question regarding them.

Answers
Agree with Sheilar, no point in storing them - stick them in the ground.

Depending on the variety crocosmias spreads very quickly and after 3 or 4 years it is best to divide up and throw out the inner bulbs which can get very congested.
I divide my crocosmia clumps into two every 2 years or so and it keeps them healthy and in check

« flowers on tomatoe plants just turningYELLOW and no fruit coming. WHY? CROWN OUTSIDE
Next question
I would just take off the dead foliage and plant them now. I find they are just about 'unkillable'!!! They may take a year to flower but they'll be OK.
