We cut our palm right down to the base because the winter killed it off. We now have nine new plants growing .As there is not sufficient room for all these plants how do we dig some of them out so that we can replant elsewhere?

the only way to grow them on elsewhere is if you can get a good piece of root with one of the growths. In practice, they usually arise off the base of the old trunk, so its often not possible to get any root with them at all. If you don't want so many, cut out any you don't want to reduce the growths, and dispose of them.
