Hi, I went over to my neighbour to give her some rosemary (which she says is the best she has used) and she said she bought 2 Coleus plants which had grown too big for her dining room table.
She told me that she was going to come and see if I wanted them, so i saved her a trip.
She told me that they can be put outside during the warm weather, and then they would die off when it got colder.
Basically, I was wondering if anyone could offer any Coleus care advice.
Much appreciated
Alex

They're often used as summer bedding plants as they have such interesting coloured leaves - and there are more colours available than just the ones you have. You could grow lots from seed next spring if you want to.

O.K, thanks Beattie, that sounds interesting.

If you want to keep them growing, pot them up again and either put them in a heated greenhouse, or in a room in the house that gets plenty of light, then you can plant them out again whe danger of frost is passed.
Iftou decide to do this, repot them before the first frost.derekm.

Ooh. I will have to look out for the slugs though. I will nip any buds off. They do look very nice with just foliage.
Thanks Daisy.

If you don't have room in the house for a full-up bush of them, you could take longish cuttings in the fall, and root them in water on the windowsill inside. When frost is over, plant them out again!

Thanks Tugbrethil. My neighbour said that they root well from cuttings, so I may just do that.
