We plant around April time, Rwh. We grow from sets as we have found onions from seed to be chancy this far north.

Remember that I live about 25 miles from INVERNESS, Rwh. I would expect you to plant earlier than me, although we did have a very warm early spring.

Sorry, Rwh, but we are having the best year ever for onions. The dull, wet weather has kept the soil moist and they are getting massive. We are eating them now but the problem will be drying them off for storage.
