It's in the ground.

You don't say where you are in the UK, but this year has been very dry at times, particularly in the South, and if you planted it less than a foot away from a wall or fence, it may well be in a 'rain shadow', so I'd imagine it's not grown out of insufficient water supply, if you've not been watering it weekly. Leave the hose running on a trickle at the base for a couple of hours, and subsequently, keep it watered by pouring a canful round the roots weekly during dry spells. Once we get to autumn, it'll not be necessary to keep up this regime.

Thanks for your feedback. I live in the midlands and maybe have planted it a bit close to the playhouse which is built onto concrete slabs. I will move it away slightly and see how it grows. It has had a lot of water though. Do you think it may of had too much?

Not possible if it is in open ground with no obstruction beneath (like a layer of concrete 6 inches down). If you're going to move it now, you will need to really make sure you keep it well watered - 0therwise wait and do it in late September.

How do you get vines to fruit?

Once its big enough and growing strongly, it should do that all on its own - but the fruits on this one are purely for ornamental purposes, they're inedible.

How do I say thanks?
