I hace a CAMELLIA in a large pot filled with ERICATIOUS compost.
Can I put it in the garden if I dig a big hole and fill it with Ericatious Compost?

They also need good drainage, so if your soil is clayish, you might want to plant on a gentle mound, with soil conditioning, and a transition layer to gentle the discrepancy between the conditionedsoil, and your native soil.

Yes - but if your soil is neutral or only marginally acidic, it'll be fine without the compost. If your soil is alkaline, you may need to give the plant a shot of Sequestrene iron tonic once or twice a year - the effect of the ericaceous compost gets diluted over a year or so.
