At the bottom of my garden by the woods there is a huge Budleia which has flowered beautifully for years (and been pruned yearly). Today it's totally dead - flowers brown and leaves crisp. Can anyone tell me why this has happened, what caused it etc. It's happened overnight (a bit like Clematis wilt). I would be very grateful for an answer. Thank you. Carol Dale

Any possibility it might have caught some weedkiller spray drift from somewhere?

Have you inspected the plant from top to bottom for signs of damage, infestation or disease? Check particularly near the base, and did it die from the top down, or the other way around?
