I have only taken up gardening since retiering seven years ago.I have potted 30/40 calendula, they are about 5/7cm high. Is it worth planting them out now or try keeping them till next spring.

Calendulas are annuals so they will not go through the winter outside. The time to plant them is March/April - sorry! If they are in a greenhouse they might last but don't hold your breath.

If they are Calendula they are a hardy annual and some may survive through the winter to flower next year. You have nothing to lose if you plant them out.

True - nothing venture, nothing win. I've never had them survive though - hope you have better luck.

How do I say thanks?
