HI everyone, ... I planted Echineacea Purpea last year ( Grown from seed ), the plants grew fine with plenty of foliage and then died back, is Echinacea herbacious and if so will it actually flower in its 2nd year ?

I grew some from seed last year but the snails decimated them so Im trying again this year..............But yes they should flower for you...............

I'm about to sow these. I sowed White Swan a few years ago. They took ages to get going but two years on they're doing really well in the borders (snails permitting). Yours should flower well this year.

They take a year or 2 to get going and gradually make a clump. A bit of TLC will pay dividends, they are lovely things.Use slug pellets very sparingly, less is more as they actually attract the slugs!! They also hate to be overcrowded so keep other plants away to give them room.

found mine today when i was in the garden clearing up. 5 look ok the 6th is doubtfull but i will wait and see as last year i forgot where they all were and dug some up by mistake. One actually flowered in its first year. the rest flowered in their second. I sowed Lustre hybrids yesterday cant wait. :-)

Yes it should. Most perennials will take a couple of years to establish themselves before flowering when grown from seed, then they will flower year after year.
