Is there a palm called Ring Palm?
Israel
According to the literature, there is no palm called Ring Palm (common name of course). Where I am, the Archontophoenix Alexandrea gets called the Ring Palm. From my understanding it's commonly called the King Palm. Can anyone shed some light on this (although maybe pedantic) matter?

Hi Desertgardener, welcome to GOY.
You are correct. There is no such thing as the Ring palm. Several different palms are commonly called King palm including the A. Alexandrea. Reckon it is just a local thing. It happens. Somebody, somewhere, sometime gets it slightly wrong and in that area it sticks. As long as you know what people mean then don't worry about it.
