I bought some mail-order freesias for the first time this year. They have just finished flowering so I've pulled them up. What should I do with them now? Dry them off and put them in a brown paper bag in the shed? Put them in a little compost to keep them snug? Your advice would be much appreciated.

I have disappointing news for you - Freesias which flower outside one season in this country have been specially prepared to ensure they do flower here - once finished, you bin them, because they won't flower again.

I've actually found the note that came with them - saying to keep them dry and above freezing - so I'll do that and hope for the best. Nothing ventured......! Thanks for replying.
