which plants will take root from cuttings?

i have 4 perennial flowerbeds, and i enjoy them because i can cut the flowers and bring them inside for enjoyment. i am always trying to expand my flowerbeds, and was wondering which flowers will take root from the cuttings to propagate.

You can't give up yet Barbara, today is Thinking Day.
Anything will root from cuttings, herbacious plants can be divided for quicker results.

from experience Emily i can add phygelius [cuttings], division of clumps that i molly coddle in good compost in pots in the coldframe/sheltered sunny path include:chrysanths, delpiniums, dahlias, phlox, poppy, alstromeria, asters, crocosmia, Primula denticulata [also root cuttings rather than stem cuttings],maltese cross etc.
in the early days i filled gaps with easy annuals, larkspur, comos, aster etc for quick colour and easy cutting. still do actually as i have some firm favourites.

Quite a few from top growth - Penstemon, Lavender, Verbena, Osteospermum and others from root cuttings - like Papaver orientale.... errr... My brain has stopped working - I expect other members can think of others!
