Hi everyone ,
I have lots of brambles and blackberries at the bottom of my garden to attract butterflies,I have recently read they are now classed as a federal noxious weed, does this make it illegal for me to keep them.
Same goes for nettles.
Thanks

The word "Federal" is the clue that whatever you read refers to one of the states in the USA. Brambles are native plants in the UK, so far as I am aware, and have value for wildlife - as do nettles too, though most gardeners would remove an excess of these plants.

Both are great plants for butterflies, and you can enjoy the blackberries as well. If they were illegal there would be huge problems in the countryside, which is full of both!
Our brambles have speckled wood and gatekeeper butterflies mostly.

Where did you read that? It sounds like an American situation - certainly not the case in the UK.
No, none of your plants mentioned are illegal.
