Identity from a leaf please.
Saw this growing on a riverbank in south-east Scotland. The whole picture is about the size of a large man's hand and the plant was only about 25cm high.

I don't think that it is a native but probably a garden escapee, hopefully not the next invasive species. Any chance of a picture of the whole plant, Tpg?

I'd say that Argentina anserina, silverweed it is.
Bulbaholic, it may have been growing over something else making it seem taller rather than spread.
Reading up on it, it does like river banks.
