I understand that grafted ones flower quite quickly, while the others can take up to 7 years to flower. I suppose that's why they are so much more expensive.
I reckon you could move your Calla, it must be dormant still, is it?

Wisteria can take up to 7 years to flower but you will get a few flowers after 2 years if it is a young plant. Wisteria sinensis is about the fastest to mature and flowers like crazy,
.As long as the ground is not frozen and your cala is dormant it is ok to move it now but try to dig out a good root ball so as not to disturb the roots too much

You're best off buying one that is in flower at the time as people often seem to have trouble getting them to flower. Chances are if you get one from a garden centre it will be old enough. I bought a Wisteria floribunda 'Lawrence' last year, it's lovely.
Pretty sure my Calla lillies (Aethiopica) didn't survive the frost this year though.

I agree with Rydeboyz, buy one in spring, in flower.

It depends on how old the plant is that you buy. Obviously the bigger it is, (more expensive too), the more likely it is that it will flower fairly quickly. I'm not sure, but from ancient memory, the white variety take even longer to flower. Don't forget to keep watering the new climber, that'll help it flower too. Oh, and another thing, make sure it's in the right position for plenty of sun and warmth.
