Jolly your children may be grown up but are there no young children around?

??? to the last comment.

Jolly states that it must be birds as her children are grown up. Whilst this is very likely other peoples children could have stolen the grapes.

Not a nice comment to make really. Think you made the suggestion in the first place and this lady said that her children were grown up. Lets be grown up here and make sensible suggestions from now on.

Grandmage I made the suggestion in answer to Jolly's first question. Did you never scrump apples as a child?

Not in other peoples gardens though, fields yes.

Glad you were a good girl, Grandmage. Many other children are a lot naughtier - I have lost both raspberries and gooseberries, and definitely not to birds.

Lol Stera.I was a good girl, would never do anything to upset my parents!

I certainly knew what would happen if I did--which, of course, just proves that I did, from time to time--but my cohorts were less inhibited. On the other hand, grapes behind a fence were usually safe...from the children, anyway! : )

Tug. The wrath of my parents was always in my mind but as you say not always your cohorts minds!!! Lol.
