Hi,everybody..my question today is.my Arbutus tree has lost a hell of a lot of leaves this year....it is a beauty ,but my neighbour doesn't think so....He has cut it practically flat on his side......ericaceae..(strawberry tree)..Is it normal for such a lot of leaf drop...i really cannot remember it dropping so much last year...might be my old age forgetting....lol

It may just be the weather that has caused the premature leaf drop. There have been a lot of reports about a 'double Autumn'. Not really 2 Autumns but early changes in foliage colour and premature leaf drop.
You may have noticed other 'symptons' in your garden such as early berries on the trees?
