I am going to sow some lavender and sweetpea seeds.I dont have a glass greenhouse just a plastic zip up frame. Will they survive the winter in one of these or will it be too cold? thankyou.

The traditional way of growing sweet peas is to sow them in October and keep the plantlets over winter in a cold frame, so I guess your zip-up cover will do much the same job. Lavender is surprisingly hardy, except for L. stoechas. It would probably be OK, but you could keep some seed back as insurance and sow it in spring if the autumn-sown ones succumb to the cold.
