Depends what kind of rose they are - ramblers should be pruned September, the rest (climbers and bushes) late February/early March, technically. And roses, if they've been in situ for longer than 3 years, have some devilishly long roots on them - I wouldn't attempt moving one if its older than that, but it's up to you.
