I usually start mine off in March in the unheated greenhouse. They have been stored in dry peat. So have now put them in a tray on the bench, on a layer of peat, and covered with peat and then sprayed to make just damp. On the safe side due to this very cold winter, I have laid thermo.garden fleece across the top.
By April the first shoots are up and I transplant to the baskets but keep in greenhouse until mid May.
