climber for shaded area

could anyone suggest any fragrant climbers for a pergola in a semi shaded position

some roses dont do too bad. I have rosa 'New Dawn' that only sees the sun for 2 hours in the summer. it is fragrant and a pretty shell pink. there are also some jasmines that might fit the bill too.

I'd ensorse all suggestions above. Also, other roses which will tolerate a fair amount of shade are R. 'Madame Alfred Carriere', 'Mermaid' and 'Noisette Carnee'

Try cematis josephine, i grow them and have great succes in part shade, they have a lovely flower , very large pretty plant. I dont think it has a fragrance but still a lovely plant. You could also try a passion flower, i think this is the best flower ive ever grow, so pretty. it could take a couple of years to establish so be patient. Alibongo
