When Gladioli have died back, do I cut them from the bottom or let them wither away, trying to tidy up the garden. regards Ann.

Lift them out of the ground. Cut off all the leaves leaving just a small stalk. You then leave the corm to dry for 2-3 weeks, then separate the old and new corms (discard the old corms) Store the new ones till April/May when you will plant them out again in a frost free place.
