They are Feeding and breeding now, it is worth having a look through your Rosemary, lavender, Sage and Thyme. This handsome fella is an Ex Beetle.

Sorry for waxing poetic before. Getting down to business It it has spread from southern Europe and in greater numbers it is quickly becoming a pest destroying herb gardens.

It seems to me that some of the prettiest ones do the most damage - we have iridescent emerald scarab-type beetles that are gorgeous, but the grubs kill everything in my summer tubs, and the adults eat the middle out of my rose blossoms.

You will have a wider range of insects there than we do here Gattina - although certainly its true we now have plenty of European invaders here now, lol!
