Right, the poly tunnel is now almost empty, what can we grow in it over winter??????
I have just picked the last of the sweetcorn, blanched for the freezer. The french beans I put in have just given me the first picking, other stuff I put in did not germinate I suspect because we are not at the garden every day they did not get enough water......The tomato's have cropped well, I even got some plum tomato's have some on the window cill to finish ripening.
Our border at the back of the apartment has been glorious all summer, the oriental poppies are flowering again, have cut back quite a bit of the growth and moved some stuff that was in the wrong place. The cotainers have also done well. I have taken 4 geraniums out and potted them up to use for cuttings in the spring, they are still flowering in the house.

Hi Casarina not much you can grow in the way of veggies over winter. You can see if the GC has any winter/spring cabbage plugs and you should be able to grow salad leaves for another month or so. Then dig the soil in your polytunnel over and get some good organic matter into it to prepare for next year.
