I have picked a spot to put my composter, it well be on grass. Should I dig the area under where the bin will be, or leave it as it is? Also does it make any difference if it is in the sun or not? The bin will be in sunshine most of the day (if we get any this winter). Thanks

I don't think it is really necessary to dig the ground, if it is just grass. Having the compost bin in the sun is good, the hotter the compost gets,the quicker the decomposition.
