Just been on gardeners world website and 'list of things to do now' says Sow hardy annuals, like calendulas, in pots for early flowers. Does this mean certain hardy annuals or any kind? thankyou :)

If you look at the back of any packets of annual flower seeds, it will say 'HA' (Hardy Annual) or 'HHA'. The second initials stand for 'Half-Hardy Annual' and they're the ones you can't sow until the spring.

It means any HARDY annuals - its just so you can have something in flower earlier than you would from an outdoor sowing in early spring.
