Red robin - is it rusty?

I have large dark brown patches on my red robins which were only planted last year. My soil is very sandy and if I remove the affected leaves there will be very few left. They are about 18" high and I only have one healthy looking one left which is ablout three yards from an infected one. I would appreciate any life saving treatment please

I am having the same problem with a three year old hedge that was perfect until this year. I asked the same question and was advised that its probably because of the wet winter we have had and that the plant needs good drainage and doesn't like its roots too wet. That applies to me but may not apply to you. I sprayed with a fungicide and am waiting to see if that helps.

I have the same on mine, I have many of them some in pots lots in the ground. I compared them. All looking the same. I have come to the conclusion that is was the weather who was responsible. I have also noticed other people's robin doing the same. I feel they will recover as it gets warmer. I am hopeful!

I have the same problem, although I have noticed some of the leaves curling up and going brown I did think this was some sort of desease rather then weather, furthermore I have noticed the leaves are being eaten by something as there are holes.
